STAGE FLASH
| Date: | 02/6/12 |
| Day: | 2 |
| Special Stage: | SS8 Abbey St Bathens 2 (16 miles) |
1. Mark Donnelly / Dai Roberts - Renault Clio R3
Drove ok, the car is down on power. It's not good.
2. Keith Cronin / Marshall Clarke - Citroen DS3 R3T
The brake pedal broke on the previous stage, so having to nurse the car all the way through, having to brake early.
4. Elfyn Evans / Dale Furniss - Ford Fiesta R2
It's much better now it's dried up. It's a long time since I've been on tarmac. Feeling much better in the car and not doing anything silly.
5. Osian Pryce / Iestyn Williams - Citroen DS3 R3T
That was much better, but I had to go around the car that had just gone off. that got mud on the tyres and it was a bit slippy for a while
6. Jonathan Greer / Gordon Noble - Citroen DS3 R3T
It was a bit muddy in places but it's cleaned up alright.
7. Peter Taylor / Andrew Roughead - Renault Clio R3T
The car feels slack, it feels down on power, maybe the engine.
8. Tom Cave / Craig Parry - Citroen DS3
We went very well, had a good clean run and the pace was good.
9. Jussi Kumpumaki / Jani Salo - Ford Fiesta R2
The warning about the car off was too late so we also spun in the same place.
10. Jukka Korhonen / Mikael Korhonen - Skoda Fabia R2
That was 12 seconds better, but we still had a big, big moment in there [smiling]
3. Jarkko Nikara / Petri Nikara - Citroen DS3 R3T
We've lost so much time. Too many big moments, I'm not sure if we should continue
14. Matthew Cathcart / James Morgan - Ford Fiesta R2
We had two big moments in there.
12. Callum Black / Paul Wakely - Citroen DS3 R3T
We got a rear puncture about four miles into the stage and we lost a lot of time [tyre was off rim]
18. Ruary MacLeod / Drew Sturrock - Ford Fiesta R2
That was the best run of the whole day, faster than the first time through
20. Chris Ingram / Ieuan Thomas - Renault Twingo R2
That felt a lot quicker than this morning but it was only 1 second faster. I don't know what I have to do.
21. Garry Pearson / Craig Wallace - Renault Twingo R1
Another off in there but I didn't lose too much time.
23. Nick Allen / Andy Bull - Renault Twingo
A bit sloppier, we went off but didn't lose too much time
24. Christian South / Anthony Litchfield - Citroen C2 Max
That was fine and dry.
25. Henry Felix Catchpole / Christopher Brooks - Renault Twingo R1
That was a big improvement from this morning. We lowered the car but the faster you go the more unsettled the car is.
22. Alex Parpottas / Chris Davies - Ford Fiesta R2
We had a massive moment there and we came off, got going again and the bonnet flew up and cracked the windscreen. We tied it down with some rope [back windscreen was missing]
