Even though we have restarted in Rally2 I have a good feeling with the car. I have had a trouble free morning and I aim at working on the settings of the Polo.

Malgré le fait d'être reparti en Rally2, j'ai quand même un bon feeling avec la voiture. Je n'ai eu aucun souci dans la matinée et mon objectif est de travailler sur les réglages de la Polo.

Huolimatta siitä, että olen mukana superrallisäännön avulla, minulla on vielä hyvä tuntuma autosta. Minulla ei ollut mitään ongelmia aamulla ja tavoitteeni on työstää Polon asetuksia.

The incident with Novikov has ruined my race as I lost a lot of time behind him. The problem is that we punctured and that I find myself without any spare which means we can't push until the next service.

Mon incident avec Novikov a bien gâché ma course parce que j'ai perdu beaucoup de temps derrière lui. Le problème est que j'ai crevé et que je me suis retrouvé sur les spéciales sans roue de secours. Cela implique de rester prudent jusqu'à l'assistance.

Novikov-tapaus pilasi kisani, koska menetin paljon aikaa ajaessani hänen takanaan.Ongelmana on, että olin pätkillä ilman varapyörää, joten täytyi ajaa tarkasti ennen huoltoa.

I started the day with a spin. Then things went better but I didn't really push in the last stage.

J'ai commencé la journée par un tête-a-queue. Ensuite, ca s'est mieux passé mais j'ai un peu calmé le jeu dans la dernière spéciale.

Aloitin päivän pyörähdyksellä. Sitten sujui paremmin, mutta en hyökännyt täysillä viimeisellä pätkällä.

It went pretty well. I hit a tree with the rear of the car in stage 10. Road conditions are not perfect when you are in front, it should be easier when you start further down on the road.

Ca s'est plutôt bien passé, J'ai heurté un arbre avec l'arrière de la voiture dans l'ES10- Les conditions de route ne sont pas faciles quand tu es devant, c'est plus facile quand tu pars plus loin.

Sujui aika hyvin. Auton takaosa osui puuhun EK10:lla. Tieolosuhteet eivät ole parhaat mahdolliset, kun ajaa kärjessä. Takana tulevilla on helpompaa.

9. Andreas Mikkelsen (NOR) / Mikko Markkula (FIN) - Volkswagen Polo R WRC
I didn't really push as I need to gain some experience with the WRC car. Last time I drove a WRC car in Finland was in 2007. Last year I was there with a S200 and it is very different from what I am driving this year.

Je n'ai pas vraiment attaqué car j'ai besoin de rouler pour améliorer mon experience au volant d'ine WRC. La dernière fois que j'ai fait la Finlande en WRC cétait en 2007. Ll'an passé, j'étais en S2000 mais c'est très différent de ce que je pilote aujourd'hui.

En hyökännyt täysillä, sillä tarvitsen kokemusta WRC-autosta. Ajoin viimeksi WRC-autolla Suomessa 2007. Viime vuonna olin täällä S2000-autolla, ja se on hyvin erilaista.

It's very interesting to see Neuville and Ostberg fighting for the top positions as I thought the leaders would be from Finland. I need to take some risks but I find it hard to really push and find myself in a risky situation.

Ce rallye est vraiment intéressant avec Neuville et Otsberg aux avant-postes. Je m'attendais à ce que la concurrence soit plus finlandaise. Je dois prendre plus de risques, je dois me forcer un peu plus mais j'ai du mal à tout lâcher car je n'ai pas envie de prendre tous les risques.

On mielenkiintoista seurata Neuvillen ja Östbergin taistelua huippusijoista, sillä luulin, että taistelu kärkisijoista olisi suomalaisten käsissä.Täytyy ottaa vähän riskejä, vaikka onkin hankala puskea täysillä. Vältän turhia riskejä.

I have asked not to receive any splits during the stages so I can concentrate only on my driving. It might be risky as if I am late I can't catch up. I know only at the finish if I have driven well.

C'est mon choix de ne pas recevoir de split dans la voiture, cela me permet de me concentrer uniquenent sur moi même, c'est peut-être risqué puisque si je suis en retard je ne peux pas réagir, je ne sais qu'à l'arrivée si j'ai bien conduit.

En halua kuulla väliaikoja ajon aikana - niin pystyn paremmin keskittymään ajamiseen. Siinä on omat riskinsä ja, jos olen myöhässä, en pysty parantamaan. Vasta maalissa tiedän menikö hyvin.

I had done some testing on those morning stages when they were dry and now it's damp. This morning was tricky as we had a puncture but I am happily surprised not to have lost more time over my rivals who know those stages far better than I do,

J'avais reconnu les spéciales du matin sur terrain sec et là c'est sur surface humide. La matinée a été compliquée car nous avons eu une crevaison mais je suis globalement surpris de ne pas avoir perdu plus de temps sur mes rivaux qui eux, connaissent parfaitement ces speciales.

Olin ajanut testejä kuivalla pinnalla, mutta nyt tienpinta olikin märkä. Aamu oli hankala, koska meillä oli rengasrikko, mutta kaiken kaikkiaan olen yllättynyt, ettemme hävinneet enemmän aikaa muille kilpailijoille, jotka tunsivat erikoiskokeet entuudestaan.
