9. Andreas Mikkelsen (NOR) / Mikko Markkula (FIN) - Volkswagen Polo R WRC
We are still missing some parts from yesterday, hopefully we'll know more. I think that Ouninpohja you either love it or hate it. A much better this year than last year. We took it very gently through there, I'm still impressed with how much grip this car has. Hopefully we will go faster for the second pass. We hit about 200kph. We managed to do what we aimed to do and that is to get experience of these stages in a World rally car, it is too much of a risk to do it this year. We had a push on stage 4 and were leading until a mistake. I know that when I'm pushing, I'm there. At the moment we are not sure if we can continue as Mikko's back is hurting really bad, he is with the doctor now.

Il nous manque toujours des pièces depuis hier. Je pense qu'on adore ou qu'on déteste Ouninpohja. C'était bien mieux cette année que l'an passé mais on y est allé vraiment doucement. Je suis très impressionné par le grip de cette voiture et j'espère qu'on sera plus rapide dans le deuxième passage. On atteint les 200km/h. On a fait ce qu'on souhaitait à savoir gagner en expérience au volant d'une World Rally Car pour pouvoir attaquer l'année prochaine avec moins de risque. On a poussé un peu dans l'ES4 et on s'est retrouvés en tête jusqu'à une petite erreur. Je sais que je peux attaquer. Je ne sais pas si nous allons pouvoir continuer car Mikko a vraiment très mal au dos, il est avec le médecin en ce moment.

Eilisen jälkeen on vielä jotain osia hukassa; toivottavasti tiedetään kohta enemmän. Ouninpohjaa joko vihaat tai rakastat. Paljon paremmin se meni kuin viime vuonna. Mentiin varovasti. Pidon määrä hämmästyttää vieläkin. Toivottavasti toisella kerralla ollaan nopeampia. Huiput olivat jotain 200 km/h. Onnistuttiin tekemään se mihin tähdätiin, eli keräämään kokemusta näistä pätkistä WRC-autolla. Nelospätkällä hyökättiin ja johdettiin, kunnes sattui virhe. Tiedän nyt, että olen kärkivauhdissa, kun pusken. En ole ihan varma pystytäänkö jatkamaan, kun Mikon selkään sattuu kovasti. Hän on nyt lääkärin luona.

It was fantastic, a lot of fun. For the first run of Ouninpohja my rhythm was a bit high, so perhaps we slow it down a bit to go faster on the next run.

C'est complètement génial. Pour le premier passage dans Ouninpohja notre rythme était très élevé et je vais peut-être mettre un tout petit peu la pédale douce pour être plus rapide.

Oli fantastista ja tosi hauskaa. Ekalla Ouninpohjalla rytmini oli vähän nopea, joten ehkä vähän hidastetaan tempoa, että olisimme nopeampia seuraavalla kerralla.

2. Mikko Hirvonen (FIN) / Jarmo Lehtinen (FIN) - Citroën DS3 WRC
I'm 100% sure I could have gone quicker in Ouninpohja. I know a few places where I can be faster and I'll try to be faster the second run. After we found the rhythm it was more enjoyable. The battle was going quite well, we are in similar cars and similar drivers so there is not much time to gain anywhere.

2. Mikko Hirvonen (FIN) / Jarmo Lehtinen (FIN) - Citroën DS3 WRC
Je suis certain que j'aurais pu être plus rapide dans Ouninpohja, je connais quelques endroits où je peux aller plus vite et je vais m'y employer dans le deuxième passage. Une fois le bon rythme trouvé c'est vraiment sympa. La bataille est cool, on a la même voiture et le même pilotage donc il n'y a pas grand chose à gagner.

Olen 100-varma, että olisin päässyt kovempaa Ouninpohjassa. Tiedän pari paikkaa, joissa voin olla nopeampi toisella kerralla. Kun saatiin rytmistä kiinni, se oli nautittavampaa. Taistelu sujui ihan hyvin. Ollaan samanlaisissa autoissa, ja kuljettajat ovat samantyyppisiä, joten eipä kukaan voi tehdä ihmeitä.

11. Thierry Neuville (BEL) / Nicolas Gilsoul (BEL) - Ford Fiesta RS WRC
I went straight on a junction on the first corner this morning. I maybe was a bit too optimistic as I wanted to gain some time there. I really enjoyed Ouninpohja. Last year I hated it but this year I really enjoyed it, the pace notes worked well. We had no choice but to push to the max. I'm sure Mads can push more as well, hopefully we will both avoid punctures and can fight to the last stage.

11. Thierry Neuville (BEL) / Nicolas Gilsoul (BEL) - Ford Fiesta RS WRC
J'ai loupé un embranchement dès le premier virage ce matin. J'ai pêché par excès d'optimisme car je pensais gagner de temps à cet endroit. J'ai vraiment apprécié Ouninpohja et nos notes étaient bonnes. On doit rester à fond et je suis certain que Mads attaque lui aussi, j'espère qu'on va tous deux éviter les crevaisons et nous battre jusqu'au bout.

11. Thierry Neuville (BEL) / Nicolas Gilsoul (BEL) - Ford Fiesta RS WRC
Menin pitkäksi yhdessä risteyksessä aamulla. Olin kai vähän turhan optimistinen ja halusin voittaa aikaa. Ouninpohjasta nautin todella. Viime vuonna inhosin sitä, mutta nyt nautin, ja nuotit toimivat. Ei voinut muuta kuin painaa täysillä. Madskin pystyy varmaan puskemaan kovempaa. Toivottavasti kummallekaan ei satu rengasrikkoja ja voidaan taistella viimeisen pätkään asti.

[Malcolm Wilson] It's fantastic, the whole rally has given such excitement to me and the team. Four different leaders, such a close battle. Now a battle between my two guys for second and third. Normally you would say to hold position, but you can't afford to back off and they are driving for different teams. It's a great opportunity for them to measure themselves. I think they have both been round this morning and made changes to the pace notes to make them faster in places. I really want to see them have a good battle.

C'est génial, ce rallye nous réjouit tous. Quatre leaders différents, une bataille serrée et maintenant un duel fratricide entre mes deux pilotes pour les deuxième et troisième places. Normalement on devrait figer les positions mais ils courent pour des équipes différentes. C'est une occasion formidable pour eux de se mesurer l'un à l'autre. Je crois savoir qu'ils vont bien et qu'ils ont légèrement modifié leurs notes pour qu'elles soient plus rapides. Je me réjouis d'assister à cette bagarre.

(Malcolm Wilson:) Fantastista. Koko ralli on tarjonnut minulle ja tiimille melkoista jännitystä. Neljä eri johtajaa - miten tiukka taistelu. Nyt kaksi minun kuljettajaani taistelee kakkos- ja kolmossijasta. Normaalisti jäädyttäisin tilanteen, mutta ei ole varaa löysätä, ja he ovat eri tiimeissä. Heillä on hieno tilaisuus ottaa itsestään mittaa. Molemmat ovat tainneet tänään korjailla nuotteja. Haluan kyllä nähdä heidän taistelevan.

The Ford boys are really really fast. If I take massive risks I can take a few seconds out of them but I stand a good chance of not finishing the rally. I won't be able to catch them. I will try, we are going to try something cool with the car and see how it goes.

Les garcons de chez Ford sonrt vraiment rapides. En prenant tous les risques je pourrais sans doute leur reprendre quelques secondes mais je prends aussi le risque de ne pas voir l'arrivée. Je ne pourrai pas les rattraper mais je vais essayer, on va essayer certains nouveaux réglages et on verra bien ce que cela va donner.

Fordin pojat ovat tosi nopeita. Jos otan hurjia riskejä, voin napata heiltä muutamia sekunteja, mutta voi hyvin käydä niin etten pääse maaliin. En saa heitä kiinni. Yritetään jotain hienoa juttua auton kanssa ja katsotaan kuinka käy.

[Yves Matton] I think in the beginning Sordo had problems with his pacenotes and I think now he is a little down. Meeke showed that he has the pace, now he has to show he can manage a rally and be clever as the gaps are to big. This morning he tried another tyre choice for experience. Mikko could mean tyres. We are using a soft and hard tyre but I won't say which car is running soft and hard! Kris, Thierry and Mads are most impressive for me, they are having a great weekend. They are on the list for next year for sure, they were on the entry list before the rally!

(Yves Matton) Je crois que Sordo a eu des problèmes de notes au début et maintenant il est en moins bonne forme. Meeke nous a prouvé qu'il avait le bon rythme, maintenant il doit nous montrer qu'il assit gérer sa course et être malin d'autant que les écarts sont trop importants. Il a essayé des nouvelles gommes ce matin juste pour essayer, Mikko a fait des miracles avec ses pneus. On utilise des gommes tendres et des gommes dures mais je ne vous dirai pas sur quelle voiture! Kris, Thierry et Mads m'impressionnent vraiment, ils font un sans faute. Ils sont tous en lice et le seront encore l'année prochaine, ils l'étaient déjà avant le rallye!

(Yves Matton:) Alussa Sordolla oli ongelmia nuottien kanssa, ja hän taitaa olla nyt aika alamaissa. Meeke näytti, että häneltä löytyy vauhtia. Nyt hänen pitää näyttää, että hän pystyy hoitamaan rallin fiksusti, kun erot ovat niin suuret. Aamulla hän koitti toisenlaista rengasta ihan kokemuksen vuoksi. Mikko saattoi vihjata renkaista. Käytämme pehmeää ja kovaa rengasta, mutta en kerro mikä auto käyttää mitäkin! Kris, Thierry ja Mads ovat tehneet suurimman vaikutuksen; heillä on hieno viikonloppu. He ovat listoilla ensi vuotta varten; olivathan he jo tämänkin rallin lähtölistalla!
